With a connection to the Internet and a telephone, there’s very little difference between across the hall and across the country, around the corner or around the world. If your company’s infrastructure will support it, much of the lower-level technical work can be completed remotely.
Sometimes, being in the same room is an advantage. Working with your end-users and internal IT staff can often be significantly more effective face-to-face.
